Burns Night

Annual celebration in Scotland to remember Robbie Burns' a famous poet born 25th  January 1759 and died July 21st 1796
Food and drink eaten to celebrate his life would be Haggis with potatoes and turnips with a glass of whisky. The day also celebrates Burns' contribution to Scottish culture.  Burns' best know work is Auld Lang Syne which is sung at the end of the year to see the New Year in.
